Brisbane, California, will be a "no-flame" location for Burn All GIFs Day. According to Mike Macey of the Brisbane police department, setting stuff on fire on the sidewalk is illegal in Brisbane.

Smoking is legal there though.

Time and location
Friday, November 5, 1999
Brisbane, California, USA
5:00 PM.

The meeting point will be on the public trail facing Pier 5 of the the Brisbane Marina, near Unisys. Directions below.

The Unisys building and the nearby buildings and parking lots are private property. Do not trespass. Stay on the public trail.

The Brisbane Marina facilities are used for very important nautical activities by the people of Brisbane. Do not interfere with them. Stay on the trail.

Some parking spots are marked "20 minute parking only" and some are reserved for the disabled. Do not park in the 20 minute spots. Do not park in the spots reserved for the disabled unless you have the appropriate plate or sticker on your vehicle. The remaining parking spots are public, and I have confirmed with the marina Harbormaster's office that they are available for people who visit Brisbane to walk on the trail.

What to Bring
Please bring a GIF printed out on paper, along with a red marker or crayon. Setting GIFs on fire is illegal in Brisbane, so we will draw flames on them.

Please do not place open flame where it may endanger Unisys employees or property and please do not give anything that is on fire to children. Extinguish all GIFs before leaving the vicinity.
