At the company I work for they are
trying your content filter,
free for 90 days. Well, it's very disappointing. I was looking
for Java PNG encoders, and found that I was being blocked upon
following a link from Marco Schmidt's page to www.burnallgifs.org.
Usually when I get blocked I assume it is for a legitimate reason,
but we decided to temporarily disable the blocker and see what was
actually on the site. Your logs say that burnallgifs.org is being
blocked because of ABK which stands for (A) violence/profanity,
(B) partial-nudity and (K) gambling/illegal activities. There are
NONE of those things going on there.
This seems to be incredibly disappointing. If your content
filters are not letting legitimate legal pages through then you are
doing a disservice. I am going to write to the webmaster and tell
them that you are blocking them unfairly, you might even call it
slandering their site! I hope your quality control is somewhat
better in the future, but probably we won't buy your filtering
service the way things are looking.
